Launching of the Healthy and Resilient Village

Gorontalo Post – Research is part of the threefold missions of higher education as the main task of lecturers. The results of this research will later be published as an output. However, the outcome as a result of the implementation is more important than just the output.

The implementations of this program are expected to provide benefits for the society and also empower the society itself to motivate the society to solve problems that exist in their area.

The declaration of the “Healthy and Resilient Village” is one of the implementations that is expected to empower society by working together with the stakeholders to find solutions to the problems of society.

This research is a collaboration between UNG and the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN), Kyoto, Japan, and also collaborate with the Bone Bolango government, especially East Suwawa District, specifically in solving problems from artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) activities, from multiple aspects including the medical, environmental, economic, social and cultural aspects.

The declaration of the “Healthy and Resilient Village” was carried out in Tulabolo Village, East Suwawa sub-district, on Monday, March 29, 2021, which was proclaimed by the vice-regent of Bone Bolango, Merlan Uloli, and the Vice-Rector of 4 UNG, Prof. Ikhfan Haris. And also attended by the chairman of the DPRD Bone Bolango, assistant 1 and the head of the Bone Bolango health department, the head of Bone Bolango community empowerment and AMP, the team of the regent, and government officials in the district of Bone Bolango. The research team from RIHN, Japan also attended through the Zoom Meeting.

Gorontalo GP – penelitian merupakan bagian dari thridharma perguruan tinggi sebagai tugas pokok dosen. Hasil penelitian ini nantinya akan dipublikasikan sebagai output atau luaran. Namun, lebih daripada itu, outcome sebagai hasil implementasi adalah hal yang lebih penting dari sekedar luaran. Implemenentasi yang dilakukan kiranya dapat memberikan, manfaat bagi masyarakat, dan juga memberdayakan masyarakat itu sendiri untuk memotivasi dan memicu masyarakat menyelesaikan masalah yang ada di wilayahnya. Pencanangan “Kampung tangguh kesehatan” merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi yang diharapkan dapat memberdayakan masyarakat untuk bersama dengan berbagai pihak dalam mencari jalan keluar terhadap masalah yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini merupakan kerja sama antara UNG dengan Research institute for humanity and nature (RIHN) yang ada di Kyoto, Jepang dan bersinergi dengan pemerintah Bone Bolango, Khususnya Kecamatan Suwawa Timur, terutama dalam menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang muncul dari aktivitas pertambangan emas, baik dari sisi medis, lingkungan, ekonomi, sosial dan budaya. Pencanangan Kampung tangguh kesehatan, dilaksanakan di Desa Tulabolo, kecamatan suwawa timur, pada hari senin 29 maret 2021 yang dicanangkan oleh wakil bupati bone bolango, Merlan Uloli dan wakil rektor 4 UNG, Ikhfan Haris. Dan turut di hadiri oleh ketua dprd bone bolango, asisten 1 dan kepala dinas kesehatan bone bolango, kadis pemberdayaan masyarakat dan AMP, tim kerja bupati dan jajaran pemerintah di kabupaten bone bolango. Turut di hadiri juga tim riset RIHN Jepang, Melalui Zoom Meeting. “Pada Pencanangan ini juga, di lantik organisasi gerakan pemuda peduli kesehatan lingkungan (gp2kl) yang nantinya akan menjadi pionir dan penggerak program program yang ada di kampung tangguh kesehatan, Ujar ketua tim peneliti.” Zuhriana K Yusuf, M.Kes.
